When you try to run for the first time, Turbo appears
to start, but it says 0 workers and nothing appears to happen at the Master
no matter how long they wait.
This could be the result of several problems. The most likely is that
all the workers have been stopped. Check to make sure they have workers
running by checking the worker computers and doing right click, Show on
the worker icon on the worker computers. If there is no worker icon, then
you do not have workers running, and you must start the worker using the
Start menu. A fixed worker ready to accept jobs shows the message "cb
turbo waiting for a job."
A second possibility is that you have selected all dynamic workers, but
the screen savers are not running on any of the worker computers. If this
is the case, either wait until the screen saver comes on, or start a fixed
worker from the Start menu.
A third possibility that could occur is that you do not have an add-in
loaded on the worker computer. Generally, there is supposed to be an error
message issued if the proper add-in is not installed on the worker computers.
But we have seen cases were Turbo will exhibit the above behavior. First,
stop the current simulation. Then try running a simple test case, like
Futura with Optquest, to make sure nothing is wrong with Turbo. Then run
their model in Sequential mode to make sure that the model works properly.
Finally, if your model uses any special add-ins or macros, then you should
load those add-ins on the worker.
