Why isn't my registration number accepted during the installation?

NOTE: This article applies to CB version 2000.2.2 and earlier.

Some academic versions of Crystal Ball have registration numbers with a letter in the last five digits (e.g. XXXXX-XXX-O1057). This has caused misunderstanding among our users. If you have a registration number that does not seem to work, and your registration number seems to have a zero beginning the last five digits, please try using the letter O as the digit of the last five digits.
