No. The server can be installed on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP 3 or later, 2000, XP Home, or XP Professional. If more than five client machines will be accessing the server machine, a server operating system (Windows NT 4.0 Server SP 3 or later, 2000 Server, or XP Server) should be used.
