Welcome to CB Turbo 1.0.2! CB Turbo is a network program that can
help you speed up simulating large, complex models by distributing
portions of the simulation to other computers on your network. To
use CB Turbo to run a distributed Crystal Ball simulation, all you
have to do is change one option in your Crystal Ball Run Preferences
dialog. CB Turbo then uses the cycles of other networked workstations
to run part of your simulation. CB Turbo also takes full advantage
of the new multiprocessor computers.
The toolbar will appear with a red circle and bar over them if
that component unexpectedly crashes or doesn't start correctly.
In Chapter 3 of the CB Turbo User Manual and Network Administrator
Guide, all references to the \Eval folder on the CD-ROM are out
of date. The Crystal Ball CD-ROM no longer contains this folder.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
If you stop or pause and then continue a CB Turbo simulation, you
might obtain slightly different results than the normal mode results.
This effects OptQuest and extenders that stop and continue simulations.
The results won't be worse, just slightly different. This is due
to how Crystal Ball handles random seeds.
On Windows 95, automatically started workers don't shut down Excel
properly if they aren't used for a simulation.
