Why do my assumptions freeze and forecasts disappear?

You are trying to define assumptions and forecasts, but they are not saved in your spreadsheet. There are two possible reasons why Crystal Ball will not work with a particular Excel spreadsheet: 

1. You have the following characters in your worksheet names:
• Apostrophe (') 
• Comma (,) 
• Plus (+) 
• Minus (-) 
Solution: Change the worksheet name to remove this character. Please note also that Excel doesn't allow the following special characters in any worksheet name: Front or backslash (/ or \), Asterisk (*), or Colon (:).
2. You have a corrupted workbook. You will need to copy the data over to a new workbook. Please call our helpdesk if you require additional assistance, this has been fixed in Crystal Ball 5.1.
