Why are my forecast values sometimes sorted
when I extract them?
When you view or report forecast statistics, Crystal Ball sorts the
forecast values to compute exact percentiles. When you extract data,
if you have viewed or reported the statistics, Crystal Ball uses the
sorted forecast values unless you select the Retain Unsorted Trials
option in the Run Preferences.
To view the forecast results in the original order:
- Select Run > Run Preferences > Options.
- Check the Retain Unsorted Trials option.
- Click on OK.
- Rerun the simulation.
This option doubles the amount of memory needed to store
the extra set of trial results.
