TECHNOTE
How can I copy assumptions
to another workbook?
When you copy or move a cell to another sheet using Excel
cut, copy, and paste commands, Excel doesn't copy the "range name"
associated with the cell. The range name is where Crystal Ball keeps
the Crystal Ball data.
Copied cells might appear to have copied Crystal Ball
data, since Excel does copy the cell color and note. But the cell really
has no defined Crystal Ball data, such as the associated distribution
and parameters for an assumption or the forecast units.
To copy cells with their Crystal Ball data:
- Copy the cell to another workbook or worksheet using
the Excel Copy command.
- Return to the original cell.
- Select Cell > Copy Data.
- Select the cell with the copied Excel data.
- Select Cell > Paste Data.
