How many data periods can I forecast?
Generally, you should forecast only one-half to two-thirds the number
of historical data points. For example, if you have 24 historical data
points, you should forecast only 12 to 18 periods into the future.
However, keep in mind that only the first few points of any forecast
are very accurate. The inaccuracy after the first few points increases
dramatically.
