RISK ANALYSIS USING CRYSTAL BALL - Features & Benefits

Uncertain about which distribution to use?
Looking for tips on how to use correlation?
Confused by the statistics in the forecast chart?
Need to quickly apply risk analysis to your work?

You can learn this - and much more - with Risk Analysis Using Crystal Ball, our interactive, multimedia training CD.

Developed in cooperation with Dr. John M. Charnes, professor at the University of Kansas School of Business, Risk Analysis Using Crystal Ball combines the material presented in Dr. Charnes' university-level risk analysis courses and Decisioneering's Crystal Ball training courses.

Filled with tips, examples, and "real-world" references, this CD provides everything you need to become a more confident and experienced modeler.

"I like everything about it and would like to shake John's hand for creating it. The Central Limit Theorem, the correlation features, everything is excellent."
-- Daniel Sloan, President, Sloan Consulting

What does the course cover?

The course begins with an overview of spreadsheet simulation and answers the question of why risk analysis is vital to the decision-making process.

After reviewing the basics, the course covers how to define and refine probability distributions. One unit is completely dedicated to the concepts behind the simulation modeling process. Later units discuss simulation controls, sensitivity and tornado analyses, decision table tool, and result presentation.

Unit 15 contains four exercise models that help you to apply risk analysis to such areas as cost estimation, portfolio allocation, design analysis, and cash flow analysis.

How is the course designed?

The course is modular, so that you can learn at your own pace. On every page, the navigation lets you move easily among the units, pages, and exercises.

Student Each unit contains clear objectives and summaries and an introduction from Dr. Charnes. The lesson units include software tips and application ideas, as well as periodic tests and exercises to help solidify the concepts. The materials are intended for a general audience, with examples and exercises drawn from a variety of industries and applications.

"This is a good way to get into Crystal Ball quickly and efficiently.
I went through the whole training CD, which was very helpful and kept me on course."

-- Walter A. King, Petroleum Engineer
